1924 - 2002; Spanish sculptor in iron; his powerful shapes convey a powerful emotional appeal; participated in many solo and mixed artist shows in Spain, France and the USA; awarded prize at Venice Biennale in 1958; major retrospective at the Bilbao Guggenheim 2000; also worked extensively on paper in collaboration with major French art publishers.
