About Us
Abstract Modern Art was founded in 1993 as Galerie L'Art Abstrait by David Raybould with a focus on prints by artists working in the abstract genre during what might be described as the high period of modernism (1910 to 1970). This was a time of breathtaking innovation in many artistic fields, especially graphic works, and must come to be regarded as being as important, in its way, as was the Renaissance in its time.
Many of the most prominent modern artists working in the abstract field were based in Paris or New York, but they encompass a wide range of nationalities, as can be seen from browsing our list of gallery artists. The Gallery holds in stock over 300 art works, some framed, others in folios of unframed works, such as the Exacta edition, comprising 54 works by leading Constructivist artists.
We also have an extensive selection of lithographs from the publication Derrière le Miroir, with prices starting from just £70. Please contact us to discuss any of the works on offer, or to find out more about the gallery.
